What Terminal is American Airlines at Pearson Airport

American Airlines operates from Terminal 3 at Toronto Pearson Airport.

Whether you are flying within Canada, to the United States, or internationally, all American Airlines flights arrive and depart from Terminal 3. The check-in area is located at counters 169 to 182 on the departures level.

Departure Terminal

American Airlines departures are from Terminal 3.

The check-in counters are located at counters 169 to 182 in Terminal 3.

When you arrive at the airport, go to Terminal 3 departures level.

Follow the signs for American Airlines. The counters 169 to 182 are in the central section of Terminal 3 near the SPARTA entrance.

This is where you drop your bags and get your boarding pass if you have not already checked in online.

Arrival Terminal

American Airlines arrivals are at Terminal 3.

When your flight lands at Pearson Airport, you will arrive at Terminal 3. This is the same terminal used for departures. You do not need to go to another terminal after landing.

After you get off the plane, follow the signs to baggage claim. The baggage claim area for American Airlines is located on the arrivals level of Terminal 3.

If you are connecting to another flight, follow the connections signs. If you are leaving the airport, follow the signs to ground transportation, taxis, rideshare, or the UP Express train.

All arrival services including customs for international flights and baggage claim are inside Terminal 3.

USA Flights Terminal

American Airlines flights to the United States also depart from Terminal 3.

The transborder area for US bound flights is located inside Terminal 3 after security. You do not need to change terminals for US flights.

After checking in at counters 169 to 182, proceed to security. You will go through US customs and passport control within Terminal 3. Once you clear these, you will be in the transborder departure area for your flight to the United States.

American Airlines check-in counters at Terminal 3 are counters 169 to 182.

These counters are located on the departures level of Terminal 3. Look for the American Airlines signs near the central entrance.

You have three ways to check in for your flight:

Online check in through the American Airlines website or mobile app. Do this up to 24 hours before your flight.

Self service kiosks at the airport. These are located near counters 169 to 182. Use these to print boarding passes and baggage tags.

Full service counters with American Airlines agents. Use these if you have special requests, need to check bags, or require assistance.

All three options are in the same area of Terminal 3 near counters 169 to 182.

Drop Off Location

For drop off, go to Terminal 3 departures level.

Look for the American Airlines sign near the entrance. The check-in counters 169 to 182 are close to this entrance.

If someone is dropping you off by car, taxi, or rideshare, ask them to take you to Terminal 3 departures level. Tell them to look for the American Airlines entrance. You will see the sign clearly marked.

Once you enter, counters 169 to 182 are directly ahead. This is the shortest walking distance from the drop off curb to your check-in counter.
