Terminal 1 — Drop-off & Pickup Guide
Departures Level 2 — Kisi ko chhodna hai
The Departures level is Level 2 at Terminal 1. Follow signs for “Departures” after passing Silver Dart Drive.
Door locations for drop-off:
Door DÂ is for Air Canada domestic flights. This is closest to domestic check-in counters.
Door EÂ is for Air Canada international and US flights. This is the main drop-off zone and the busiest.
Door FÂ is for Star Alliance partners including United, Lufthansa, and ANA. This door is less busy.
Door G is for group travel, limousines, and commercial vehicles. This is a designated commercial zone.
Arrivals Level 1Â
The Arrivals level is Level 1 at Terminal 1.
Door locations for pickup:
Doors A and BÂ are for domestic arrivals. Short-term parking is available nearby.
Doors C and DÂ are for international arrivals. This is the busiest zone.
Doors E and FÂ are for US arrivals. Customs exit is here.
Doors G and HÂ are for group pickup and commercial vehicles, including limousines and taxis.

How to go from cell lot to Terminal 1 Arrivals:
First, exit the lot. Turn left onto Airport Road. Follow the signs for “Terminal 1 Arrivals.” Take the ramp to Level 1. Proceed to the appropriate door (A through H) based on your passenger’s flight type.
Terminal 1 Parking — Rates & Walking Distance

Express Park (Level 1 and 2): This parking is inside the Terminal 1 garage. Walking time to the terminal is only 2-3 minutes. Daily rate is 40to40to45. Best for short trips of 1-2 days.
Daily Park (Garage): This parking is connected to Terminal 1. Walking time is 5-7 minutes. Daily rate is 30to30to35. Best for weekend trips.
Value Park (Lot): This parking requires a shuttle bus to the terminal. Walking time including shuttle is 10-15 minutes. Daily rate is 25to25to30. Best for long trips of 3 or more days.
Preferred Park: This is on Level 1 of the Terminal 1 garage, closest to the elevators. Walking time is only 1-2 minutes. Daily rate is 50to50to55. Best for business travel.

Terminal 1 vs Terminal 3Â
Terminal 1 (T1)Â serves Air Canada, United, Lufthansa, ANA, and Air China. Departures are on Level 2 at Doors D, E, F, and G. Arrivals are on Level 1 at Doors A through H. The Link Train is available for free connection to Terminal 3.
Terminal 3 (T3)Â serves WestJet, Delta, Emirates, Air Transat, Flair, and Sunwing. Departures are on Level 2 at Doors A and B. Arrivals are on Level 1 at Doors A through D. The Link Train is also available here for free connection to Terminal 1.
Quick rule to remember:
If you are flying Air Canada or any Star Alliance airline (United, Lufthansa, ANA), go to Terminal 1.
If you are flying WestJet, Delta, Emirates, Air Transat, or Flair, go to Terminal 3.
 If you go to the wrong terminal: Don’t worry. Take the free Link Train between terminals. The ride takes 2 minutes and runs 24/7. Do not try to walk — the terminals are not connected by foot.
UP Express Train — Union Station to Terminal 1
The UP Express train runs from Union Station in downtown Toronto to Pearson Terminal 1.

Step-by-step from Union Station:
First, enter Union Station from any entrance. Follow the signs for “UP Express” or “Pearson Airport.” Proceed to the UP Express concourse near Bay Street. Tap your PRESTO card, credit card, or debit card at the gate — no need to buy a ticket. You can also purchase a ticket from the vending machines. Board the train. Luggage racks are available inside each coach. Exit at Pearson Terminal 1 station after 25 minutes. Follow signs to Level 1 for Arrivals or Level 2 for Departures.
Directions from Terminal 1 to City

By Car — Terminal 1 to Downtown Toronto
Exit Terminal 1 from either Departures Level 2 or Arrivals Level 1. Follow the signs for “Highway 409 East.” Merge onto Highway 409 East. Take the exit to Highway 427 South. Highway 427 South becomes the Gardiner Expressway East. Continue to downtown exits including York Street, Spadina Avenue, or Jarvis Street.
By Car — Terminal 1 to Mississauga
Exit Terminal 1. Turn right onto Airport Road. Follow the signs for “Highway 401 West.” Take Highway 401 West toward Mississauga and London.
By UP Express — Terminal 1 to Union Station
Follow the signs from Terminal 1 Arrivals on Level 1 to the UP Express station. Tap your payment card or buy a ticket. Board the train. Exit at Union Station after 25 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions — Toronto Pearson Terminal 1
Wait at the Cell Phone Waiting Lot at 6399 Airport Road until your passenger calls you. Then drive 2 minutes to Arrivals Level 1. Ask your passenger which door they are at — doors A through H. Do not wait at the curb. Waiting at the curb is strictly enforced and you may be fined.
For domestic flights, arrive 2 hours before departure. For US flights, arrive 3 hours before departure. For international flights, arrive 3 hours before departure. Security wait times average 15 to 30 minutes but can be 45 minutes or more during peak hours of 6-9 AM and 3-6 PM.
Both. Terminal 1 handles domestic flights for Air Canada, US-bound flights (transborder), and international flights for Air Canada and Star Alliance partners. All flight types operate from Terminal 1.
No free long-term parking. However, the Cell Phone Waiting Lot is free for up to 1 hour. Short-term parking at Express Park is free for the first 10 minutes, then charged by the minute.

The Value Park Lot costs 25to25to30 per day but requires a shuttle bus to the terminal. Or use off-site parking lots near Pearson for 15to15to20 per day with free shuttle service.
There is no free parking time at Pearson. The Cell Phone Waiting Lot is always free for up to 1 hour. Express Park offers the first 10 minutes free only.
